Why Work with Bruce Ketron?

  1. An attorney to create an estate plan customized to your individual situation
  2. To work with an attorney who will LISTEN to you and address your needs now and as well as help your loved ones after you are gone
  3. Someone who really knows the field. Bruce Ketron is a California State Bar Certified Specialist in the field of Trusts & Estates – that’s all he does!
  4. Someone who can handle any situation that may arise while you are living and after you are gone

… then call our office to schedule a Complimentary Evaluation.

What can I expect during a Complimentary Evaluation?

After we arrange your Complimentary Evaluation, you’ll receive a confirmation and we’ll ask you to provide some information about yourself.

At your Complimentary Evaluation, you and Mr. Ketron will discuss your specific goals and best way to meet them. He will look at your “big picture” and provide the combination of estate planning “tools” that is right for you.

What is included in an estate plan?

A complete estate plan includes the following:

Living Trust (if appropriate)
Last Will & Testament
Durable Powers of Attorney for both Health Care and Finance
Conservator Nomination
Documents to help you get started “funding” your trust

If I decide to hire Attorney Bruce Ketron for an estate plan, what happens next?

At the end of your Complimentary Evaluation, we’ll ask you for one-half of the retainer and schedule a time for you to return (about a week) to sign your estate plan documents.

What if I don’t want to go ahead with an estate plan?

We’ll thank you for coming in and you leave without paying a dime!

Am I done after I sign the documents?

You’re protected by your estate plan the moment you walk out the door. BUT there is still work to be done!

We’ll provide you with some documents to help you get started “funding” your trust. That means we’ll help you get started in the VERY IMPORTANT process of re-titling your assets to the name of your trust. We’ll handle the transfer of title for your home and other California real properties and explain how to transfer the rest of your assets. However it is your responsibility to change the title of ownership of all the other assets you own which are being assigned to the trust.

What if I need help afterward?

No problem. We’re available to answer any questions you may have about the documents or during the funding process.

How can I be sure I’ve done it correctly?

As part of the estate plan process, we’ll invite you to return about 6 weeks later for a follow-up appointment. At this follow-up appointment, you can check to ensure the assets are re-titled correctly and/or to ask any additional questions.
